Tieshae is a formerly incarcerated woman who now owns and operates her own restaurant and catering company in Inglewood, CA. In the film, she shares the reality of what it is like to be a menstruator in prison.
After establishing herself as a leading criminal defense attorney, Paula set out to build a law firm based on her principles of aggressive and effective defense representation. She was the first lawyer in the country to successfully a U.S. state to provide menstrual products in prisons and jails.
Manju has been an organizer since her teens. Her first major advocacy effort was successfully banning conversion therapy on LGBTQ+ minors in her home state of Oregon. Around the same time, she founded Operation Period to ensure every menstruator has agency and autonomy over their life and that their period never holds them back. In her free time, she is an actor, model, physicist (former NASA) and astronaut hopeful, author, and was recently crowned Miss Oregon USA and will be competing at Miss USA in late 2023.
